I invite you to be brave and talk freely, in the presence of a compassionate ally. Together we will explore thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and experiences to foster self-discovery and resilience. I’ll support you as you navigate the complexities of life and walk alongside you on the path to healing, growth, self-acceptance, or change. I believe a better tomorrow is possible and counselling can help.
I offer long term, open ended counselling or short term for an agreed number of sessions in person or online.
My approach
The psychodynamic approach pays attention to what lies beneath our challenges. It considers the way the past influences the present, how we relate to ourselves and others, the roles we play in life and why we remain stuck. Exploring our perceptions and expectations of ourselves, others and the world around us and making sense of them, can promote a shift in our way of thinking, feeling and relating. It can provide new perspectives, a fresh lens with which to view life, empowering us to make more conscious choices in the here and now.
Psychodynamic
I know how daunting starting therapy can be. Choosing a therapist can be difficult and the array of therapies on offer, confusing. However, a good therapeutic relationship between you and your therapist is an important factor in the success of therapy; choosing someone you feel comfortable with matters whichever type of therapy you decide upon.
So much choice!
